Cyprus Forest Club is a small permaculture initiative led by a dedicated team of six nature enthusiasts. For nearly 10 years, Mike has been studying and promoting permaculture principles in Cyprus, and for the past 5 years, our team has been actively engaged in forest restoration.
Our work covers the entire cycle: identifying land for planting, collecting seeds, sourcing seedlings and soil, building nurseries, nurturing young trees, and carrying out large-scale planting. Three years ago, we launched our first major nursery in the village of Sanida. A year ago, we relocated to a new and ideal location in the village of Foini near Platres. Here, we built and launched a spacious greenhouse that now serves as our tree nursery, currently housing around 1,500 trees. This year we plan to plant 1,000 trees, and next year — 2,000.
We also own land in Agios Amvrosios, which was unfortunately devastated by a wildfire.
