We are a young group of enthusiasts who came to live outside of town in Cyprus with a dream — to build a home in nature, to live simply and care for the land.
We found our place in Agios Ambrosios, a quiet village nestled in the hills, and began the slow, steady journey of creating a life there.
But on July 23rd, that dream burned down.
The wildfire tore through our land. Everything was lost — our trees, our materials, and idea of the future home we had planned.
But we’re not giving up.
Now, instead of just building a house with garden, we want to build something bigger local reforestation nursery station — for the island, and for nature.

A Native Tree Nursery to Restore What Was Lost
After the fire, we saw not just our loss — but the loss of the whole landscape.
So we’ve decided to dedicate our land to a native plant and tree nursery, to help regrow the local forest and support others who want to rewild and restore Cyprus.
We will focus on local and indigenous species — plants that belong here, that can survive and thrive in this climate. It will be a small operation at first, but every tree grown will be a step toward healing the burned hills.
We believe recovery must start locally, and we want to be part of that recovery and example — not just for us, but for everyone who loves this land.

From Ashes to Roots – Let’s Regrow Together
We need help to make this vision real. Your support will go toward:
• Setting up the nursery (irrigation, shading construction for plants, soils, tools and pots)
• Collecting and growing wild native seeds (volunteer work)
• Restoring our burned land and lands around village
• Creating a space that can share seedlings with the community and other reforestation projects as permanent station for future
⸻
Goal: €15,000 to Begin Planting Hope
We estimate that setting up a small but effective nursery will cost around €12,000–15,000, including basic infrastructure, water systems, and our first year of seedling production in amount of 2000—3000 trees per year with increasing every year.
This is not just for us — it’s for Cyprus, for the forests, and for the next generation.
Let’s bring life back to Agios Ambrosios — tree by tree.
Thank you for helping us turn loss into roots.
